The Mark of the Whore - Magick of Tattoo Lecture & Ritual Tattoo Presentation.
This presentation will take a look at the history of the tattoo from ancient Egypt into Ancient Europe and Asia. Into the "discovery" of tattooing by Captain Cook and his men, to the invention of the electric tattoo machine by Sauel O'Reilly back in the late 1800's and into modern day tattoo ritual.
We will discuss magickal and mystical symbols, as well as their origins and use in tattooing and why people choose to get tattooed. Attendees are always encouraged to share their stories as we delve into this magickal rite.
There will be a participatory ritual tattoo demonstration.
