Tour of Poe’s Memorial Grave

Register Now  Westminster Hall is a beautiful historic building located at the intersection of Fayette and Greene Streets in downtown Baltimore. The church, which was completed in 1852, was built more than 60 years after the Westminster Burying Grounds were established. The Burying Grounds are the final resting place of many famous people, including Edgar Allan Poe, General Sam Smith, and General James McHenry. William Blake Lodge has arranged a private tour of the grounds and catacombs for a small fee. The tours will last approximately 1 hour, and includes the Burying Grounds, Catacombs, Westminster Hall (if available), and a fifteen-minute film on the history of the Grounds, some of the famous people buried here, and their relationship with Baltimore.
